Its over, what an awesome event it was - our best yet! Pictures avalaible here. With numerous inspiring and motivational speakers, wonderful venue, delectable food, and the teamwork and leaders that had stood out and been awarded, we can confidently say that this year's MYLC shall not be forgotten, mashAllah! On Friday, March 17th, Muslim youths from all over Ontario traveled to the Mississauga Convention Centre to acquire leadership and knowledge and meet other inspirational youths to make a positive impact in the Canadian and the world communities. The workshops were enthralling and teams came up with many creative solutions to the given case studies. Not only would we like to thank our attendees, but also our wonderful sponsors, donators, our noteworthy speakers, and all the volunteers that made this event a reality. Don't take our word for it. If you missed it, InshAllah we want to see a leader like you here next year! But if you were here to witness this event, we want to hear your sincere feedback on this event. Introduction - Dare To Care  Are you a Muslim youth aghast for the future and the present? You believe that things need to change but feel impassive. You want to see something be done, but presume that you alone cannot make a difference. We have a solution to your symptoms: Get off that couch and become a part of the proactive experience at the Mississauga Youth Leadership Conference , coming soon this March 17th during the March break! MYLC 06 has been worked hard on to get completely revamped and re energized with an exquisite new location. The 2006 mission is to help our disengaged muslim Muslim youths take-charge as leaders in the community under the name "Dare to Care". Attendees will get leadership and teamwork skills, along with tools and knowledge from the experts, through our interactive workshops and will receive great prizes! Best of all, breakfast and lunch are provided and there will be special accommodation for prayers. A personalized certificate of recognition will given to all attendees. The Mississauga Youth Leadership Committee has been organizing the annual Youth Leadership Conference for the past five years, with each year building upon the previous. It has been our ultimate aim to not only educate the Muslim youth, but to also encourage and support them with the implementation of the skills they gain through attending the conference and boost them for a successful future as an active leader in the community. Insh'Allah all who attend will leave the conference feeling they can put what they gain into action and make a positive impact in the community, or even the world.
